A few photographs of paintings

Top left is a painting by my great great Aunt. I would love to know where it is. It is similar to Piazza Mercato in Domodossola, but the roofs are the wrong way round. Now maybe she just didn’t like them and changed them round. Doubt it. Maybe someone could say where the lady’s dress might be from, or the unusual horse-drawn wooden vehicle in the background?

Bottom left is the artist herself, Janet Dott. Word is that she went on a European tour, with my great Aunt Zoe, perhaps about 1910?

Top middle is Piazza San Rocco in Intra close to Lago Maggiore in Northern Italy. My flat is second floor with the two balconies close to the church. Probably also about 1910.

Top right is the Hayling Billy train between Havant and West Town, Hayling Island in southern England – the line was closed in the 1960s. How sad. But a great footpath now!

Bottom right was at the Biennale in Venice a few years ago
